Last night we had a fabulous time of prayer. There was a very encouraging turn out as we gathered at the "new building". We sang and prayed, but we also kept our hearts and ears open to hear from God. The following are sound bites from what God was saying to us:
Remain confident in him and in what he has already completed for us.
Remain excited at what God is doing.
Don't just step out of a small box and into a bigger box!
God is not just looking for people to trample his courts and to say prayers:
God is looking for his people to seek his face with clean hands and pure hearts.
God is looking for his people to repent (turn) from sins (and attitudes) that block the move of God.
God is looking for his people (individually and collectively as a church) to be on fire for him.
The "new building" will be a place of habitation for the presence of God and a place of refuge for many who will "find Christ"; where people will come together in Christ; where the laughter of children will be heard and where young people will form lasting friendships.
Over and above all of the "activities" there will be a fresh move of God in ways we have not even considered.
My last comment on the above: There's a word in the Psalms = "Selah" which means meditate or think on these things. It would be good to not just read the above, but to Selah!
Don't forget this coming Sunday. We have two great services lined up. See you then.
Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.
Pastor Jack
