Cross Vigil Day 23

DAY 23: Monday 5 October

It was like sunbathing today. Thank God for another great day. No sooner had we set up when a lady came through the gates from the Catholic side. She walked across specifically to talk with me and to wish me well. She said she had read about the Cross Vigil in the newspaper. She wanted to know where our church was going to be. She was delighted at the sight of the cross and wished me well saying she would be back with friends to join the Human Peace Wall on Saturday 24 October.

A skip lorry (or dumpster truck!) pulled up alongside me. The driver was lost. He asked me if I knew where the Elim church was that's having work done to it! Little did he know he know, he was stopped beside it and was talking to the Senior Pastor! This is what it's all about - helping people find their way, and the best place to start is at the cross.

Some of our prayers warriors, who are also devil worriers, pulled up for a while. Others waved, honked or stopped, including daughter in law Gemma and grandson Judah who just wanted to chase the cars, but Gemma wouldn't let him.

Paul McNeilly and his friend Bryan, came along from Ballymena, which is about 35 miles north of Belfast, stopped off for a visit. Paul is the guy behind the FUEL event in Ballymena, which is a mega outdoor Christian event with lots of top Christian bands etc. They were excited with our project and we are looking forward to developing a very meaningful relationship and partnership in the coming weeks and months.

Everyday brings something different, but everyday is an opportunity to be a witness for Christ, whether it's holding the cross; speaking to people as they pass; waving to motorists; or handing out leaflets etc. Please continue to pray over these opportunities.
