What a morning! It was "Great Craic" (Irish); it was "awesome" (American); it was "very nice" (English). Whatever way you want to say it, the fact is it was great to be in church today.
As usual we got right into an amazing time of corporate worship, followed by a feast served up from the Book of Mark by our guest speaker Carl Anderson. In his message he showed that as Mark was writing to a Roman audience he presented Jesus in his Gospel as a Warrior; a man of action. He went on to show that it is not enough to come to church and have a wonderful time and then go home again, but that as a church we need to be advancing. He spoke of Christ "the man of action" as the Deliverer who cast out demons; the Healer who healed disease and sickness; and the Giver of Life who raised several from the dead. He spoke of getting into the "Prayer Zone" and that from our prayer life we move out and advance the cause of Christ's Kingdom.
Carl gave several words of knowledge regarding illnesses or aches and pains. People responded to these and came forward for prayer as did several others. We concluded with a good time of ministry at the front. We continue to pray for healings.
Thanks again to everyone who came along.

Invitation Cards. We sang a great song today about the walls being broken down and the lost coming out of hiding. This is an opportunity to help break down those walls and to reach the lost where they are. There were two people in church as a direct result of us being on the streets yesterday. So come on; let's make it known that New Life is here for the people across the city. Take enough cards to do your street or your area. See Colin. Thanks.
Email Connect Group. One more push for this. Several people have signed up from last week. If you were not one of those, please sign up now by simply responding to this email with the words "Count me in". Go ahead and do it now! Deborah McCurley will be the "Moderator" of this Connect Group. She will help give it direction and will take it forward with your support.
Church Cleaning. Thanks to those who signed up since last week to help. Much appreciated.
Have a great week. Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.
Pastor Jack
