Two Things

1. Long Term Unemployed? 18 Months plus? There is a new employment scheme giving over £150 per week for 30 hours. If you know of anyone who could benefit from this, please get them to contact Tommy Latimer. We can place some at City Life Centre doing cleaning, caretaking, maintenance, mini bus driving, office duties etc, or place them with local employers. Email Tommy Latimer at higherforce@btconnect.com

2. Car Boot Sale at our Townsend Street Car Park. Starting Saturday 17 April from 8 am - 12.30 pm and every Saturday thereafter. This will be privately run by those who ran the Windsor Car Boot Sale. There are quite a number of "Boot Salers" already signed up for this. If you want to set up a stall just turn up early on the day (8 am) and get your space. I think the cost per car/stall is £6. You can do this for yourself or someone might want to do one for the church! Still need to pay the fee! The church will be receiving payment for the use of the car park.

You can also promote this among your friends and encourage people to get along to buy.

There is a charge of £10 to those from outside New Life who might attend, but for those within New Life we would be looking a £5 donation to help cover costs and expenses. If this is a problem for you or for someone on your team, please let me know and we will waive it.

If you are a Team Leader, please share this with everyone on your team as not everyone receives this email.

Weekly Contact 30 March 2010

Eldad Elim Church, Guernsey.  Kathleen and I arrived home from Guernsey on Monday around 6.30 pm. We had a good visit with the Elim Church and received a great response from many of the people after the services. They had booked the Princess Royal Arts Centre for a special Sunday morning outreach to another part of Guernsey. This was a bold step for them as a church. For weeks prior to this event they were stirred and mobilised to get out around the island. They visited many homes giving out leaflets and speaking to many people. They had posters all over the place and had adds in the paper besides a radio interview. They did everything they could, but on the day were disappointed by the poor response from local people. Many of us know the feeling of such disappointment after having put in so much effort. On Sunday night I managed to help lift the spirits of the people and the pastor who showed great appreciation for the Word I brought. I then sent the following in an email to the pastor, which I believe is also appropriate for us at New Life:

John, thanks again for the invitation to be with you over this special weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. I know you were all somewhat disappointed at the poor response from local people, but these are early days in a new venture for Eldad. I am glad to have been with you at the start of a process that in God's time will ultimately produce eternal fruit. Don't forget that Rome wasn't built in a day; Jericho wasn't conquered by one march; creation wasn't completed in one day, and even Good Friday needed Sunday to make it complete! I pray Sunday will come soon for you.

New Life Sunday services: I received great reports regarding Sunday morning, especially relating to Craig Seawright's message and presentation. Well done Craig. I trust and pray the word he brought stays long in the hearts of those who heard the message and that it continues to be productive within the church. Sorry I did not get the main points of the message. However, if you want to send these to me Craig I will forward them on via email.

Sunday night reports were disappointing regarding the poor turn out. Ross McBride, I understand, spoke well, but unfortunately many chose to stay away! This is one Sunday night in the month when we make an effort to bring along a guest speaker or do something different. The fact that some can choose to come out and hear someone with a different accent than someone with a Belfast accent shows that some are more attracted by the man rather than the event that's organised for the purpose of coming together for fellowship, encouragement and worship etc. My sincere thanks to those who not only got along on Sunday night, but to those are the constant backbone of New Life City Church. You see it's not only Guernsey that experiences disappointment, for we also experience it at New Life, but we thank God for the great encouragements and encouragers.

Easter Weekend. One Rose, One Hope: Good Friday at 7.30 pm and Sunday morning at 11.30. This is not two events, but one. Let me therefore encourage you to get along on both Friday and Sunday. Hobby Horse Playgroup staff are looking after the crèche on Friday night (you see we are doing everything we can!) so that everyone who attends New Life can at least experience the Friday night service. Please invite your friends and family as this WILL be an amazing weekend.

Thanks again to those who have put in so much thought and planning for this weekend. God has blessed us with gifted and talented people who use these for the good of the church and for the glory of God. Believe me, you are much appreciated. However, don't forget to pray and let's make sure that our dependency is on God. For it is STILL not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord. If that should ever change, God will let us know, but I don't think it will!

New Life City Church is not the perfect church, but with your help we can tick a few more boxes.

Have a great week. Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.

Thanks and News

On behalf of James and Julie I want to thank everyone who helped out last Sunday. Thanks to Tracey and those who helped serve up the food and to those who cleaned up afterwards. Thanks also to those who brought additional food along, although James and Julie had put on an awesome spread.

To top it all: as stated in my Weekly Contact, one girl gave her life to Christ on Sunday morning; then late Sunday night Brian Baxter committed his life to Christ; but even that's not the end, because James Scott's mum also gave her life to Christ on Sunday morning. Thank God for these new believers. Let's do what we can to encourage them and let's believe God for more to be added to the Kingdom.

Few Things

1. A man that some have been praying for and speaking to was at church yesterday morning. I just got a text message letting me know that he gave his heart to the Lord late last night! It's great when people get saved "in church" as one person did yesterday, but it's also great when people just bend under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Praise God!

2. Colin Morrison has done some invitation cards to give out to friends or around the streets etc. Few were taken (although one guy, without mentioning his name, took a handful of them!). Why not try it? Just pick one street and walk up and down that street putting these through doors and handing them to people you meet on the way. You might get to like it! This also helps to keep letting people know that we continue to be active as a church within the community. Contact Colin.

3. Shankill Methodist is putting on an Easter Celebration presented by the Shankill Dramatic Society this coming Friday at 7.30 pm. Their Minister Jim Rea has attended some of our events and is very supportive of our work. Kathleen and I will be there. It would be good if a few others could also get along.

4. Stormont with the Waterford Omagh Choir on Thursday night 1st April. We have been invited as their special guests. At the moment 12 have booked. I am looking for 30 - 40 max. Let me know if you are going. I need names and car reg numbers.

Weekly Contact 21 March 2010

What a day at church which was enhanced by the dedication of baby Benjamin David James Kirwood Scott and by the attendance of several of James' and Julie's family and friends. We also greatly appreciated the singing of Jim Weir and the great spread of food that was provided by James and Julie after the service. Thanks to those who brought some additional food to add to the amazing spread. Besides all of this we rejoice again that one person committed her life to the Lord. Let's continue to be thankful for the great things that God is doing among us, and let's stay focused as we patiently go through the process of change and development and improvement. We're touching families; we're seeing souls saved, but we also know there's more to be done, and with your help we'll get there.

The message I brought was "Getting Into the Zone of Destiny". Based on Jer. 1:5, I expressed my belief that there is not a person who is born without purpose; without a reason for living and without destiny; a God-given destiny that according to Jer. 29:11 is filled with hope and a future. We saw that Jeremiah stepped into the plans that God had for him and that even though those plans included him being beaten and thrown into a well and left for dead, he nonetheless continued to pursue his God-given destiny, because he was in the zone.

We saw that getting into the zone of destiny is not just about being willing to lay down your life for the cause, but is also about stepping into the fullness of a purposed filled life ordained by God. Peter laid aside his fishing nets and got into the zone of his God-given destiny by following Christ. Nicodemus laid aside his faith in religion and got into the zone of his God-given destiny by putting his faith in Christ. Paul laid aside his hatred for the church and got into the zone of his God-given destiny by replacing that hatred with a love for Christ. I concluded the message by encouraging people to do likewise and was delighted whenever one person got into the zone of destiny by deciding to follow Jesus.

Dedication of Benjamin David James Kirkwood Scott. We were honoured again to stand together as a church and to identify with James and Julie as they dedicated baby Benjamin to the Lord. We continue to pray for Benjamin that the hand of God will continue to be upon him for good health and strength through all his days. A verse I believe God gave me to pray over Benjamin as I held him in my arms was John 14:27 where Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid".

Prayer: Continue to pray for Coleen and her mum and family. It was great to see her at church this morning. The funeral of her father will be on Tuesday at 1.30 pm from the family home in Wigton Street. It was also good to see Johnny Prentice at church, but without Heather who is recuperating after her operation. Please continue to pray for Heather. Margaret McCurley has asked for prayer for a baby who seems to have leukaemia. Please pray for this little one.

Next Sunday is the last Sunday in the month. Besides our Sunday morning service at 11.30 we are having our Monthly Special at 7 pm with a great time of worship and with guest speaker Ross McBride. Please support both of these services.

Closing thought: When Herod told the wise men to continue their search for the child who was born King of the Jews, he gave the added instruction that when they found the child they should return and tell Herod where he was. We know they found the child, but they did not return to Herod. If Herod had told the wise men to go and find the perfect church; the church that ticks all the boxes, and to do so with the added instruction that when they found such a church they should go back and let him know where it was, he would still be waiting on their return today. New Life City Church is not the perfect church, but with your help we can tick a few more boxes.

Have a great week. Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.

The funeral will be on Tuesday at 1.30 pm. More details later.

Thanks.

Coleen's Dad

Hi everyone,

This is to let you all know that Coleen's dad sadly passed away during the early hours of this morning. Please pray for Coleen and her mum Gladys. This has been a difficult time for them.

I got to see Marty several times in recent months and was with him yesterday in hospital for a while. We had a good chat about several things and also about the Lord. I shared with him Rev. 3:20 "Behold I stand at the door...". I wish I could say he prayed and committed his life to Christ, but he did listen well to what I had to say and responded by saying "You've given me something to think about". He admitted that even though he had said often he does not believe in God that he did often pray to God! It made me realise that I have never yet met an atheist who does not believe in God!

He was returned home from the hospital yesterday, which was his own choice. He knew he was close to the end.

You see folks, these are the things that are important.

That's why we need to: Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.

Need Your Help

From next Tuesday night Youth Justice will be using the upstairs of City Life Centre. They will be paying for the use of the facility, but we are also providing them with meals for up to 20 people. These will be young people in the Youth Justice system plus members of their families. This is an opportunity to be involved practically and thereby build a positive relationship with the Youth Justice Department.

Gemma, representing HOPE, has agreed to take on board the organising of dinners etc, but we need your help. We need volunteers. The meals need to be served by 5.30 pm next Tuesday. If you can help in any way please contact Gemma by email revolutionyc@btinternet.com or phone 07921068960.

Please note: this is only to help provide and serve meals and clean up afterwards. This is not to get involved or interfere with the families as there will be Probation Officers etc facilitating sessions with them.

Thanks.

Weekly Contact 14 March 2010

For Mother's Day, New Life was the place to be. Thanks again to all the FAITHFULS who came to church on Mother's Day. Thanks to everyone who took part during the service. The kids were great as they wished all the mums Happy Mother's Day and gave a single Red Rose to every mother etc at church. Chara and Anna sang well together, followed by Tracey who shared how much God appreciates and loves, not only the mums, but all of us.

This week's guest speaker was Mark Pugh who is the Leader of Serious4God, Elim's Youth Department, and lectures at Elim's Regents Bible College. Mark's message was from Nehemiah, who was the king's drinks taster (in case someone tried to poison the king!). On hearing about the broken walls of Jerusalem Nehemiah wept and cried out to God on behalf of Jerusalem. He did not know that his actions would blaze a trail for others to follow. The story of Nehemiah and of the broken walls of Jerusalem shows that God can fix things, but he needs people to walk and make a pathway for others to follow. God calls us to be trail blazers, but if we are ever going to do so there are three things we need to do:

1. We need to trust God
2. We need to guard our hearts
3. We need to allow God to bring out the hidden things in our lives

FIST: A really great night of fellowship and friendship as several men got together. I really feel sorry for those who think they don't need this! But anyway, we chatted and drank coffee; we prayed together and heard from Craig Seawright's heart as he shared about doing positive Christian works that bring us closer to God and help to unwrap the purposes of God in our lives; he spoke of hopes and dreams and then played a clip of Dutch Sheets speaking on destiny. This was somewhat strange as next Sunday I have decided to speak on Getting into the Zone of Destiny! Then there was more prayer and more coffee, only this time with Hot Dogs! Thanks to all the guys for the obvious effort put into the night, which was appreciated by those who were there.

NEXT SUNDAY 11.30 am: Baby Benjamin Scott is being dedicated. This promises to be a great service. Jim Weir will be singing and friends and family of James and Julie will be at the service. They are also providing "food", but as I said today, it would be good if people brought something with them. So do you bit!

Next Sunday IS THE THIRD SUNDAY of the month, which is building fund day. Challenge: make your mind up now that next Sunday you are going to help make it a Special Offering.

Prayer Meeting: This Thursday 18 March at 7.45. But keep in mind that the following Thursday 25 March FIST have planned a Quiz night as an outreach opportunity.

Prayer Needs: Billy Haddock and his family; Terry's mother and Coleen's father (both in hospital); Amy Gould; Gillian's grandson Robbie; and thank God that little Joshua is home from hospital and is doing much better.

Easter Celebration: Gareth has shared with me what's planned for Good Friday evening and for Sunday morning. It sounds awesome. Please mark these dates and plan to get along so you do not miss out on something special.

Stormont with the Waterford Omagh Choir on Thursday night 1st April. We have been invited as their special guests. At the moment 12 have booked. I am looking 30 - 40 max. Kevin Hornsby (the Muffin Man) is going and can take 4 in his car. Let me know if you want to book a seat with him.

Have a great week. Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.

Gillian's Grandson

The hospital has put it down to a virus and sent the child home last night. He has had a better day, but still a little weak.

Gillian and parents appreciate the prayers.

Prayer

Terry Fulton's mother has suddenly taken ill and was rushed to hospital today. She needed intensive care, but the only place they could get her a bed in an ICU was Craigavon. She has recovered a bit since being admitted, but is still seriously ill. She is only 60 years old. Please pray for her and Terry. Send him a text and let him know you are thinking about him and praying for his mum.

Re: Waterford Omagh Choir at Stormont: 6 have booked so far. Max 34 spaces left.

Waterford Omagh Choir

Many of you will remeber the Waterford Omagh Peace Choir. They were our Special Guests for our opening night at City Life Centre and were totally awesome.

They are booked to sing at the Stormont Assembly Building on Thursday 1st April (probably around 7 pm). They have invited us to join with them on the night, but we can only book in a maximum of 40.

If you would like to go please let me know by replying to this email. First 40 names go. I would need car details for security purposes.

There is no cost and there be no offering.

Two Things

1. Craig Seawright is very keen to get the John Bevere DVD's on "Driven by Eternity". They were taken from FIST a couple of months back. If you took these, or you know a man who did, please let Craig know ASAP. FIST is looking to use these.

2. The following was sent by Gareth (Spud): Robbie (Gillian's grandson) is at A&E. Can't lift his head and has been sick for the last few weeks. Please pray urgently for God's healing power to move in this young baby's life.

Thanks.

Re Novena

Dorothea has cleared the matter. The reason why Rachel's name appeared at the top "From line" was because Dorothea used a previous email and just forwarded to those on the list! This shows how easy it is to use people's names for things that were never intended.

Sorry about that Rachel, I was a bit concerned that Dorothea was going to respond immediately by saying she had only forwarded something she had received from someone in New Life.

Enjoy the sun.

Team Leaders & Members

The following is for the attention of all Team Leaders and Team Members. If you should not be receiving this please ignore:

The New Life Leadership Team (Jack, Craig, Gareth and Jonathan) met on Saturday morning 6 March to discuss points raised at our recent Leadership Summit when Team Leaders and Team Members were present. We discussed a number of issues, but the main focus was on structure and communication. The following decisions were made by the Leadership Team:

1. That we revisit the structure already in place (see attachment)
2. That each member of the Leadership Team communicates regularly with Team Leaders
3. That the Leadership Team meets regularly with those Team Leaders of the following Ministries:

FIST; GLOW; JC's; and Revolution Youth

The reason for these 4 teams is that they cover the areas of men, women, children and young people
The first of these is Saturday 20th March at 10 am - 12 noon

4. A Leadership Summit will be held at least three times each year when all Team Leaders and Members will be present

Please note that if anyone has a question to ask or a comment to make regarding the function of their team and its activities etc the Team Leader should contact the respective Pastoral Overseer as listed on the attached Structure. Please do not contact the Senior Pastor on Team matters. If you feel you need to speak to someone other than your Pastoral Overseer then let him know you will be sending an email to the Senior Pastor for the matter to be addressed.

The above has been unanimously agreed by the New Life Leadership Team.

Jack, Craig, Gareth, Jonathan.

Weekly Contact 8 March 2010

Thank God for another great time at church yesterday and thank you all for your ongoing and constant support. The highlight of the day was the fact that two people committed their lives to Christ. One was a girl from the Falls community whom Jonathan had visited in hospital some time ago, but she finally made it to church; the other was Raymond Barrett's wife Lisa. Thank God again that salvation came to these two people, one from the Falls and one from the Shankill.

Another interesting point to note is that Stephen Robinson; many of you know Stephen with the very serious alcohol addiction; well, Stephen decided to come to church yesterday morning to hear John Edwards. Not only was he a week late, but he walked past the building and onto the Falls Road where he asked a man where New Life Church was. The man on the Falls directed him back across the gates to where the church is! Keep Stephen in your prayers.

Getting into the Zone of Dreams: This was the 6th message in the "Getting into the Zone" series. Based on Acts 2:17, the main points of the message were:

God-given dreams are filled with hope and purpose

They motivate us into action and cause us to take steps in the belief that one day the dream will be fulfilled

They do not end in the morning, but continue through life.

They come with an unshakable desire that God puts within us (Psalm 34:4)

I went on to make the point that, whatever the dream, each person needs to get into the zone of that dream. You begin by making sure you are truly hearing from God so that you are not following you own desires, but God-given desires, and that you are not following the words of men, but rather you are following the Word of God. But then how do you know it's God? You do so by the following:

God will put something in your heart
God will confirm this by his Word (reading; sermon; prophecy etc)
    God will create the circumstances
    God will open the door

GLOW: met last night. While I was not there, Kathleen brought back an excellent report. On behalf of the GLOW Team I would like to thank everyone who got along last night and thank those who shared. Well done GLOW.

Prayer: We spent time praying for some very special needs. These were: Heather Prentice in Antrim Hospital; Billy Haddock who is in Scotland this week and needs our prayers; William Rea's friend whose mother died suddenly on Saturday and for baby Benjamin who is having a scan on Tuesday. Continue to pray for them and for others like Debbie Mogey who's been in hospital (it was great to see her in church yesterday) and Margaret Boyd and others who continue to suffer with illnesses that keep them from church.

This Thursday night there will be no prayer meeting as the women are having some kind of "Beauty Night". It will be in the MAIN HALL with tables set up for FOOD! It starts at 7 pm. Go for it ladies!

Next Sunday is Mother's Day. Although we do have a Male Speaker, Mark Pugh, Director of Serious for God, GLOW will be doing some things. So come along get into the zone on Mother's Day.

Have a great week. Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.

Re:Murph will like this one

Some suggested Murph was driving the Tram in Dublin!

Non wonder he's going to New Zealand!

Amazing Vision

Change Your Thinking

It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.

His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.
The men talked for hours on end.
They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation..
Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.
Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene. < I>
One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.
She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.
The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you".

My comment: Some full sighted Christians would not only see and describe the wall, but if they saw a lake and ducks etc they would probably still describe a wall! Is it any wonder that Jesus said, Blessed are those see and believe, but more blessed are those who do not see and believe!

This is the collision between a Dublin Bus and a Dublin  Tram on Wednesday 16/09/09

Now look at the ad on the side of the bus that the Tram went into.

HELP NEEDED

Tommy Latimer needs 4 to put the last backs on the 20 chairs and then move them into the main church tomorrow at 11.00 am. We have a Leadership Meeting from 9.30 - 12.30 at Craig McCurley's so will not able to be there. It would be really good if at least 4 can get along and do this as we are getting that room ready for painting on Monday.

Bring drills and screwdrivers etc.

Thanks.

Jack

Another One

Whooops. Sorry for not putting this one in my last message:

Johnny and Heather are back home from India. Heather is going into the Antrim Hospital on Thursday for an operation on Friday.

All the best Heather. We are looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

God bless.

Jack

Couple of things

1. I understand that Phillip Burns was looking after 20 kids during the marathon Sunday night service. I had thanked those who looked after the creche, but I did not know that JC's was on. So let me take this opportunity to thank all those kids who looked after Phillip on Sunday night. Your service to the church is much appreciated.

2. Coleen's dad was rushed into hospital today seriously ill. They got him stabilised and he is now back home!

3. Little Joshua, 2 year old son of Chris and Rose was moved from ICU to a main ward over the weekend. This is an amazing step forward. They were hoping he would be home today, but it should be tomorrow.

4. Debbie Mogey is in hospital at the moment. She is hoping to be home tomorrow.

I know there are many other needs. This is why it is so important that we pray for and encourage one another.

Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.

Weekly Contact 1 March 2010

The Easter WOW may have been cancelled, but we're still Marching on! Today is the first day of March and yesterday was an amazing finish to February. What a day at church! Everything about it was just God. Yesterday was "It". It was it because we were fully lit! It was "It" because the presence of God was so real. It was "It" because our guest speaker, John Edwards, spoke right into the heart of our church and brought such a challenge and blessing to all of us.

The Morning Service: John Edwards spoke from 1 Chron. 17 making the following points:

David had been called and anointed, but not recognised. For a time had to learn the secrets of the Kingdom while dying to self and to any attempt of self elevation. During this time he learned to not look to men to make things happen for him; nor did he try to manipulate the circumstances, but he learned to trust God to work things out in His way and in His time.

David's anointing was that of a pioneer; someone who blazed the trail. Although David was in his palace as King, he refused to settle while the presence of God (the Ark of the Covenant) remained in a tent. His desire was to build a place where the presence of God could dwell permanently. Nathan the prophet told David to do what was in his heart, but then God instructed Nathan to tell David that he was not be the one who would build the House of the Lord, but that his offspring would build it.

David knew that God knew him. Others failed to appreciate all that David had come through; they had failed to understand that David was where he was because of his obedience to God and of his willingness to fight off bears and lions, and of course Goliath; they failed to see the bigger picture, but God knew him.

God would build a house for David. Others, through jealousy and lack of understanding, will seek to rob and steal his blessing, but God will build David's house, and would do so that His name (God's name) would be great.

The Evening Service: After another amazing time of worship, which could have gone on all night, John Edwards shared his testimony. He almost did go on all night! I think he spoke for 1 hour and 40 minutes! But hey, who cared? Although at this point I want to thank those who looked after the crèche (I think it was Maureen and Gemma). Not only did they miss out, but they were in the crèche for 21/2 hours! Not much consolation, but THANKS! After the gold medal award winning marathon testimony John invited people to the front for prayer. Several came forward. One woman committed her life to Christ. Please pray for her.

This will remain as one of the most memorable days in the life of our church. The attendance was awesome, as was the worship and the ministry. However, John Edwards is on a plane and away back to Bradford, but we are still here! Yesterday in consigned to the history books, but today is a new day with new opportunities. What will you do with this day?

Bible Study & Prayer. Thursday night at 7.45pm we will be having "Bible Study and Prayer" in the lounge upstairs. We will have short Bible Study, then perhaps a short discussion and then pray for around 40 - 50 minutes. Last week we looked at Isaac re-digging the wells of his father Abraham, until he finally began to dig his own wells.

Next Sunday Night at 7pm - GLOW will meet upstairs. All ladies are welcome to come along and enjoy a great time of fellowship. Bring your friends and families.

PRAYER: Continue to pray for Olive Long as she goes through surgery this week. Continue to pray also for Billy Haddock and Winnie and the family. Billy deeply appreciates all the contacts from the church during the past week. There are others who attend church regularly, and others who cannot attend as much as they would like to due to ongoing illness, who continue to need our prayers. Please pray one for another and continue to encourage one another.

Next Sunday Morning we are back in the Zone! Come along and find out what specific zone we should be getting into this week.

Have a great week. Stay focused; stay strong; and keep being a God-influence.
