How'd you spend your Thursday night? 17 of us got together to pray, and man did we pray, and pray, and pray! I shared a short Bible study entitled "The Decreasing Life".
The study was based on John 3:30 where John the Baptist said, "I must decrease that he might increase". Some of John's followers tried to come between him and Christ, but John knew who he was and why he was there, and was saying, "It's not about me, it's about Christ". The moment it becomes about "me" and "my position" and "my title" and "my promotion" etc, at that moment we have lost the plot. Sadly there are some who are so full of themselves, even within church life, that it becomes quite obvious it's not about Christ, but it's about selfish ambition and self exaltation. I pray that all of us in New Life would be big enough to be humble enough to decrease so that he might increase, for it's not about me and it's not about you; it's about Christ. After the study the prayer was so intense and was so awesome.
Don't forget we continue with a special weekend of prayer: Friday night 10 pm -12 midnight, and Saturday morning 10 am - 12 noon.
