Intervention

On Thursday, due to church connections, I was asked to intervene in a situation involving 7 young lads, all around 14 years old. During a camping out night last week, some of them burned a blue bin belonging to a Nursing Home. The UVF got involved and demanded £70 from EACH of the lads or they would be beaten on Friday night (last night). I immediately contacted a PUP spokesperson who moved on the situation right away. I then met with him and the local UVF commander of the area concerned today at 1 pm. After the discussion they have agreed that nothing will be done to the lads. My part of the agreement was to get the lads to the Nursing Home on Monday to apologise and to pay £70 to replace the bin. Big drop from £490!!!
