Mark and Rachel

A couple of weeks back I sent an email asking for your prayers for Mark and Rachel. I want to thank you for honouring and respecting the request for space, especially for Rachel. Please continue to honour this request. This is the best thing you can do for Rachel at this time besides pray. It's been great to see Mark at church on Sundays, but please do not load him with questions or comments, no matter how well intentioned they are. He and Rachel know how much they are loved and thought of at New Life. The following is a brief message from Mark:

 

"I would like to thank everyone who has been praying for me and Rachel at this time. We are very grateful for the support we have received and the respect given to us (via Jack's previous email). I would like u to know that ur prayers are making a difference and are 100% being felt. I would ask for your continued support via prayer and any contact to be directed towards me. We love u all very much and look forward to one day giving God the praise for answering the prayers of his people."

 

Mark is back to work today, after being off for 6 weeks (he's a school teacher!). He says things like, "I'm praying, but I'm still rowing". Let's pray with him, and let's help him row. Rachel is being well cared for. Please do not read into this or assume wrong things. This is nothing to do with their marriage. Someday soon this will be over and they will thank the church themselves.

 

Let's show as a church that we do care, and let's show this by praying for one for another and through actions that are appropriate.
