Fun Day & Concert

Please note, this is a Community Project.

Following its successful launch in June, COPE (Community Outreach Project to Ethnic minorities) is running another special Fun Day in the grounds of City Life Centre, a building that straddles the Shankill and the Falls in Northumberland Street, on Saturday 25 September from 12 noon to 4 pm followed by an evening of entertainment with a Multi Cultural Concert in City Life Centre at 7 pm, with special guest George Jones of Radio U105 and Clubsound.

The day will include supervised fun activities, including bouncy castles, face painting, swimming pool, bike and obstacle course, professional massages including Indian head massage, pampering and nail painting, with a special appearance of some snakes including a 12 – 18 foot python! Hopefully something for everyone! There will also various food choices for purchase including Arabian, Chinese, Burgers & Hotdogs, Tea & Coffee, Crepes and Tuck Shop.

The day will conclude with a Multi Cultural Concert in the evening at 7 pm. It will be lively and colourful and will include African dancing and singing, Polish music and singing, performances from local young people, a Czech illusionist, and special guest George Jones (who will also compare the programme). Admission to the concert is free as the event is funded by CRC.
