People's comments, on email, Facebook, and spoken about last Sunday morning just say it all! It was another one of those times you just want to savour as worship went to another level and as the Word of God was well received with responses to serve Christ and to recommit. Bring it on 2011!
What's on your Radar for 2011? was part two of the previous week's message. I took the time to underline some of the points from last week like the need to seek first His Kingdom and His Righteous. I appealed again for a proper and radical response to the Word of God by simply doing what it says, e.g.
Let's not forsake the assembling of ourselves. Let's get together; stick together; pray together; worship together and grow together etc. As a church we generally only meet once a week - Sunday Morning! Is it too much to ask that those who say that New Life is their church that they attend this once a week service? I think not! By the way, the numbers were excellent last Sunday, although were still some missing! Come on, let's get together on Sundays and at MoMENtum and at GLOW and Revolution and Life Groups etc etc. What a difference we could make together if we got together.
Let's support the church financially. Together we pay the bills and advance the Kingdom. Many thanks to those who tithe faithfully and for the offerings over above the tithe. Thanks to those who give an extra £25 per month towards the loan repayment. Believe me, this needs to continue and to improve. It would be great if you were to contribute by Direct Debit on a weekly or a monthly basis. Gareth has DD forms you can fill in and leave into your bank. What a difference we could make together if we gave together.
Jordan. Ann Graham's prayer has been answered regarding young Jordan. GLORY!!! Ann has remained faithful and steadfast during some very difficult days (weeks, months and years!), and now Jordan has finally committed his to Christ. He still has some way to go, but he's on a journey now with Christ, and he'll get there. Keep praying for him and encouraging him. If you don't mind me saying, Jordan can be another Shughie Sinclair (minus the singing!) in terms of the impact of his life and testimony. THIS IS WHAT IT'S ABOUT!
Thursday night Prayer and Bible Study at 7.45. Awesome time last week and will be the same this week! Please note the other prayer times on Tuesday mornings (for the next 10 weeks) and Saturday mornings.
Celebrate Recovery also meets on Thursday night at 7.30 pm. This is open to everyone and anyone who needs encouragement and help through the battles and the struggles of life.
Revolution Youth will be back on this Friday 14th January at 7 pm. Our Youth Pastor, Mark Crothers said, "ask anyone who has children or knows of young people aged 11+ to come along for 7 pm start.
Thanks again for all your support and for all you do to promote the vision of New Life City Church.
