PRAYER

I just got a phone call from Ballyclare regarding a young lad (13) who was badly injured today while doing "dumper jumping"! Apparently young men gather and jump onto dumper trucks at the quary. They wait until the truck is passing and jump onto it from a hill above it. Young Scott jumped and grabbed hold of the side of a truck and then lost his grip. He fell under the wheel. Both legs are broken; his pelvis is broken; an arm is broken, besides other serious injuries. I spoke with one of his mates and his older brother Davy (17) on the phone. I told them I would get people in church to pray for Scott tonight. I then offered to pray for him on the phone. They put me on loud speaker so their other mates could hear the prayer. Davy then said to me, "Thanks mate; you're a good man. Thanks for doing that". None of these lads are Christians.

 

I don't know him, but I told them I would call and see Scott in the hospital in the next day or two.
